About Kota Weather

Kota’s weather shapes daily life more than in most cities. Students walk to coaching through 43 C afternoons in May, families plan weddings around the winter, and the whole city watches the Chambal in a strong monsoon. Kota Weather exists to explain that weather clearly: what each season is really like, what the official warnings mean, and how to plan a day, a move or a trip around them.

Who runs Kota Weather

Kota Weather is made in Kota. It is built and maintained by Garage2Global, a Kota-based web development company, together with the team behind the travel brand Sasta Holiday. We are a small independent publisher, not a weather service.

Kota Weather is independent. It is not affiliated with, endorsed by or connected to the India Meteorological Department (IMD), the Meteorological Centre Jaipur, the National Disaster Management Authority, the Water Resources Department of Rajasthan, the Kota district administration or Kota Nagar Nigam. We link to their official pages because they are the right sources; nothing on this site is an official forecast or warning.

What changed on this site

Earlier versions of Kota Weather displayed automated forecast tables and “advisories” generated from open weather-model data. We have removed the advisories. A compact live forecast panel remains on the home page and a few guides: it shows weather-model data from Open-Meteo, labelled as such, as a quick look at the days ahead. Forecasts and warnings that you might act on should come from IMD. Our written pages focus on what we can do well:

How we check facts

  • Official data first. Climate figures come from IMD normals, and we name the period and station every time we use them.
  • No invented numbers. Our written guides never contain forecast figures; the only forecast numbers on the site are in the live panel, which comes straight from the Open-Meteo model. We do not quote statistics we cannot trace to a source. Where something cannot be confirmed, we say how to check it.
  • Sources on every guide. Each article lists the official or primary sources it relies on.
  • Dated updates. Each guide shows when it was last updated.
